My name Theresa. It means summer or to harvest in Greek.
I am named after my paternal grandmother who passed away before my parents were married.
I was born in a small town in Ontario, Canada.
I grew up in a small town in the Upper Peninsula. I lived in a great neighborhood, we had plenty of neighbors with kids about my age so we all played together.

Our house was a fairly large house with a decent yard and I loved it because there was so much space, being an only child I could dream up magical make believe stories about my backyard being some kind of magical secret garden. (I had a big imagination growing up.)
We did travel a lot when I was a kid. My family is Scottish, I used to be a competitive Highland Dancer for about 10 years. We also were very involved in with our Clan Association and Highland Games.
Growing up I wanted in my heart of hearts to be a teacher, but the amount of schooling, debt, constant work, constant criticism, lack of funding, etc doesn't seem to be worth it. Do I think it's an important job? Yes, absolutely. Could I afford my dream to be a teacher? No. It's too much of a risk for me. Ii don't even know if I would be good at it. That's scary for me. I like safe calculated choices.
Absolute kudos to all those out there crushing it, molding the future generations. You are the real MVP's!!

I say I like safe calculated choices but every once in a while I straight up throw caution to the wind and do something stupid. (Like quitting a stable job for a call center job, just for instance.)
My husband is loving, wonderful and understanding. Considering how much of a weirdo I am, that's a blessing.
