I've already discussed my pets and their personalities a bit here. Lately I have been feeling that barely scraped the surface and I want to dig deeper.
I'm just going to discuss my boys today.
I love my boys so much. They are a handful at the best of times but I wouldn't have it any other way.
They are boys boys and as a result constantly give their mama stress. One minute Buck is biting Ryker in the face the next Ryker is dragging Buck around by his collar. Ten minutes later they are on their doggie bed chewing on toys and ignoring eachother.
Ryker. He is such a good boy. He is the most strong willed of the two. If he is chewing something (he knows he shouldn't be) and you say "No" he is going to stop, look you in the face and nudge it in act of defiance but he won't go back to chewing it because he knows you're the boss.
I always smack him on the side of his hip (its one of his "spots" and it's a play smack) and he will horseplay back and retaliate by hip checking me. I always find that so funny for some reason. He loves to play. He will find play in all activities. If I am moving furniture or even just walking through the house he thinks it's a game. He is a busy body and he does not like sitting still or being lazy. He likes to cuddle for like 3 seconds before he is onto the next thing. He is the most vocal. If he wants to go outside he will walk up to you and let out one bark. When he gets excited he gallops whether he is inside or outside. He loves kids. However he is so big he can overwhelm them and get a little too rambunctious for play. Ryker is a daddy's boy. He loves Kyle so much. It melts my heart. He loves socializing, he loves new people, and is very independent.
Buck. My sweet little baby. Every morning my routine with this little fellow is he has to snuggle for a few minutes. He loves to snuggle and getting belly rubs and ear scratches. He could lay around all day and be a lazy bones with me. He is a mama's boy. He is easily excitable. He wants with everything in him to be a good boy but sometimes he is just too excited to do what you ask. He has no interest in pushing the boundaries, not on purpose anyway. He is very dependent on Kyle, Ryker, and myself. He is wary of strangers. He loves car rides. He has the longest tongue I have ever fricken seen but it just adds to his gooft charm.
