How I met my husband.

I used to work at Subway for about three years. I live in a small touristy town that gets busy in summer. Early summer 2012 I am at work, it's busy. We had a line up almost to the door. I am at the beginning of the line to make subs. This guy tries to make small talk by asking me how I am doing, how my day is going, etc. I reply with "Oh you know, it's the busy season," and chuckled and tried to move him along to help the next customer.
I mean, we were so busy, it was almost rude ro other customers to keep a conversation going at that point. I brushed him right off. Little did I know that was my future husband.
Kyle and I ended up being facebook friends, we actually had such an insane amount of friends in common it's still rather hard to believe we didn't know eachother previously.
We both used to go to the same social functions.
We both moved from the same small town to Chicago within a year of eachother. (Granted he was in Glendale Heights, but still...)
I used to be a pretty sarcastic individual with a rather odd sense of humor.

To this day Kyle maintains the photo of me with the fork eating ther ice out of my margarita and the photo of me in my blue bridesmaids dress (after spilling tacos on me) are the photos that made him decide to pursue me because I clearly had a sense of humor and wasn't stuck up.

We started messaging eachother and hit it off however at this point remember we had never met eachother in person technically.  I was incredibly nervous because I am five years older than him.
In 2012 I was turning 25 and he had just turned 20. I was really on the fence about dating somebody so young. We met up in the rite aid parking lot and went back to my apartment and watched a Jeff Dumham comedy special.
After that night we became inseparable.
Whenwe first started dating I had reservations, truly.
I had seen this quote which is exactly how falling in love with Kyle was for me.

John Green — '...I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.'

I do feel like we have grown and matured together because we were both goofy kids when we started dating. I feel like that has made us a stonger couple. Kyle is so different but so similar to me, he has pushed me to try things I never would have before. He took me camping for the first time, and to my first NFL game. Neither of those you ever would have convinced me to do previously.

How did you meet your significant other? What was it like for you? What highlights or defining moments stand out to you?
